Directions

Dresden boasts an extensive transport network and is easily accessible by air, rail or road.

By air:
The airport of Dresden is approximately 9 kilometres from the city (in the Dresden-Klotzsche quarter). A journey by S-Bahn from the airport into the city takes about 20 minutes.

By rail:
The Deutsche Bahn AG railway system connects Dresden to all larger German and European cities, and operates frequent daily services to most destinations.
Most main line services stop at both the main station of Dresden and the smaller station, Neustadt. Please note, however, that some services stop at only one of these two stations. The main station is situated at the southern edge of the city centre, which can be reached in a few minutes on foot. From the station Neustadt, two S-Bahn lines serve the city and the main station.

By road:
The motorways A 4, A 13 and A 17 connect Dresden to the German motorway system. You can, of course, determine your preferred route with the help of a route planner.
